Project Overview

As a digital product designer, I have designed solutions for many clients and am eager to continue creating innovative designs for upcoming products. At the same time, I needed a platform where potential clients could view my previous work and learn more about me before reaching out for collaboration. To address this need, I decided to create and develop a website portfolio that showcases my web design skills and provides information about my services and expertise.

Challenges

Designing a website that includes comprehensive information, such as past projects, articles, and personal details, is essential. Clearly defining what clients want to see and what they are looking for regarding my professional background and expertise is crucial to creating an effective online presence.

Organizing and categorizing information on a single website can be challenging because it involves a lot of content and figuring out what information to prioritize and display first, and what to include later.

Showcasing all of my portfolio or previous works on a website can be a bit slow due to the need to upload high-quality images and develop the site into a user-friendly platform for visitors to browse and view case studies, articles, and my previous background.

UX writing is crucial; I need to condensed all the information and include only the necessary details. Clients or readers who wish to learn about my case study and articles prefer concise and brief paragraphs. Therefore, I need to dedicate sufficient time to rewrite my content, ensuring it's more concise and easier to understand.

Innovative Solutions

There are several design processes involved in creating a well-rounded website portfolio, with a focus on both user experience and user interface. By considering these factors, we aim to make the website easy to navigate and accessible, allowing clients and visitors to quickly find the information they need.

To make the website more accessible and easier to navigate, I categorized the content into distinct sections for each type of information, such as portfolio showcase, articles, and personal information. This allows users to quickly find all the relevant information they need from each section, as I previously mentioned.

The next step is to ideate a better solution, which means trying to craft a sitemap for the website so that users can easily access it. Designing wireframes is also a crucial process in defining the layout of the website and applying solutions to this process.

The final process is to apply the color, content, and testing, followed by the development stage. This process has been tested by my friends and seniors, gathered feedback, and refined it through an iterative process, resulting in a polished and published product.

Special Thank

I would like to take this opportunity to greet and thank my friends and seniors for helping me create this great website portfolio. I have received a lot of feedback and refined it until this website is accessible and findable.
